Sunnybrook Instructors

Erin

Erin learned to meditate as a child, watching butterflies float across the green fields of Vermont. She began teaching mindful movement in 1995, first as a martial artist, then as a Yogi, and now as a Pilates instructor. Expect a core-focused class with safe, expert guidance. Drawing on her Yoga Therapy training, Erin ends each class with a brief stress-reducing visualization and deep, calming breaths. Arrive as you are, leave standing taller, stronger and more centered. Lee

Lee has been teaching Yoga since 2013. She discovered the Reformer practice during Covid and was immediately hooked! She quickly got certified through Balanced Body in MA and has been teaching ever since. Lee teaches contemporary exercises on the reformer. Progressions and modifications are offered to meet the needs of varying student levels. Lee loves using props and has a playful teaching style; expect to be challenged with some brain games.

Trina

Trina discovered Reformer Pilates during a time when  chronic pain had become a part of her everyday life.  She was looking for a way to move that would help her feel stronger and more balanced. Through consistent practice, she found greater strength, mobility, flexibility, and confidence, while learning to move with intention and listen to what her body needed.  Pilates became more than exercise; it became an important part of her journey toward feeling better and living with less pain.  She also found how Pilates helped with her central nervous system and looked forward to every class.

That experience inspired Trina to become a Pilates Reformer instructor so she can share the movement that made such a meaningful difference in her own life.  She loves helping others discover their strength, build confidence, improve mobility through intentional movement and making every workout feel empowering.

Trina is excited to share her love of Pilates and create a welcoming, encouraging space where everyone can move, grow, and feel their best.

Whether you’re new to Reformer Pilates or looking to deepen your practice, you can expect a class with supportive instruction, thoughtful cues, and plenty of encouragement along the way.

Trina is Reformer 1 Certified through Balanced Body and a graduate of Sunnybrook’s Wellness Instructor Mentoring Foundation Program.

Claire

Claire spent her childhood upside down — years on the balance beam and uneven bars taught her control before most people learn to ride a bike. That gymnast’s precision shows up in how she teaches now: quiet, warm, exacting. She won’t raise her voice to get you into better alignment — she’ll guide you there with clarity, one clean cue at a time. Her classes have a gentleness to them — soft cues, an unhurried pace — but don’t mistake that for easy!

Claire is Reformer 1 certified through Balanced Body and is a graduate of the Sunnybrook Instructor Mentoring Program.

Helen

Helen came to Reformer Pilates looking for core strength and better balance — what she found was a lot more. Stronger, steadier, and, by her own admission, even more confident than she already was (and— her family will tell you—that bar was already high). As a teacher, Helen is patient, encouraging, and squarely focused on getting proper form right before anything else. Expect a lot of positive reinforcement and permission to modify. Helen’s philosophy is simple: meet people exactly where they are. Outside the studio, she’s an active grandma who rode her own motorcycle for 25 years. Helen brings decades of teaching and leadership experience to her teaching practice. She has been practicing Reformer Pilates since 2022 and is a graduate of Sunnybrook’s Instructor Mentoring: Foundations program.
