Click to listen: The Sacred Pause
Today’s practice is one of becoming present to ‘what is’ in mind, body, and spirit, and offering self-compassion for whatever is arising. So often we greet ourselves with such cruelty – if we bother to greet ourselves at all – and judge what we are thinking or feeling with what mindfulness teacher Stephen Levine calls “the unkind mind.” The Sacred Pause is about opening up a space for listening, for being-with, for radical acceptance of whatever is arising for us. It is a welcoming with kindness, and a way to gather strength.
